ROBOTIC AND AUTOMATION WORKSHOP​

However, with machine retrofitting, we can give it a second life with the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) as an added functionality.   1. Introduction to robotics: This module will teach you everything you need to understand about the fundamental principles of robotics and the future of robots. Learn the various definitions and applications that are used within the industry, get your hands on into SCARA robots, their unique design, and their applications across industries, from manufacturing to assembly lines, as well as the basic tools and components of robotics.
  2. Programming: The function of a robot entirely depends on its programming, just like how important a brain is to us humans. You will learn the programming that is used and required to operate a SCARA robot. Many tests will be conducted to see the functionality of the programming.
  3. Functioning: In this module, the robot’s functionality will be tested to inspect the programming that has been constructed. After the testing is completed, delve into routine maintenance procedures for SCARA robots. Understand preventive maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and common issues faced in real-world applications.

MTDC’s Centre of 9 Pillars, or Co9P, is located at UPM-MTDC Technology Centre, Serdang. Established on November 2018, the centre houses a community-in-practice providing Industry 4.0 (i4.0) technology-based solutions for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The establishment of Co9P is in line with the National Industry4WRD Policy introduced by the Government of Malaysia on October 2018.
